Steam distillation of the wood produces a syrupy, slightly amber-colored oil with a warm, sweet-woody fragrance.The scent is reminiscent of classic sandalwood, but is softer and slightly less complex..On an emotional level, the oil works soothing and grounding. It helps with inner turmoil and supports moments of calm. It is also valued as a fixative in fragrance blends and in meditation.
