Good Clothes, Fair Pay

Good Clothes, Fair Pay is a campaign demanding living wage legislation across the garment, textile and footwear sectors. In total, they need 1 million signatures by European Citizens to set up a meeting with the European Commission, which is the first step to a debate in the European Parliament about this issue. Sign the petition and start making an impact!

About

If you only know a little bit about the fast fashion industry, it probably won’t come as a surprise to you that garment workers are not paid a fair price for the work they do. Their income is often so low that they can’t even provide basic needs like food, housing and healthcare. For too long fashion companies have promised to change and do better but without any result.

The Good Clothes, Fair Pay campaign is an ECI, European Citizens’ Initiative. This is a unique instrument that enables citizens to call directly on the European Commission to propose legislation in an area of EU competence. The goal of the campaign is to get the European Commission to introduce legislation requiring fashion brands to pay their workers living wages.

If individual fashion brands fail to pay their garment workers a fair price, why not force them with European laws!

How can you help?
