Are you spring cleaning your wardrobe? Turn the pieces your kids have outgrown into something meaningful.
Because We Carry is collecting beautiful, fresh clothing packages for mothers and children on the run. At Het Faire Oosten, we’re one of the collection points; you can drop off packages until 10 April during opening hours.
We’ll bring everything to the Because We Carry warehouse on the 11th, from where they will distribute it to mothers in Greece, the Netherlands, and wherever else it’s needed most.
About Because We Carry
Since 2015, the Because We Carry team has been supporting mothers and children on the run. People who often arrive in a new country with very little, in need of immediate help.
They provide essentials like clothing, prams, and nappies, alongside emergency aid, knowledge, and care.
Beyond clothing packages, they collect whatever is needed most at any given momen; sleeping bags, winter coats, baby supplies. Their focus is simple: support as many mothers as possible so they can take care of their children. When needed, that support extends to fathers and extended families too.
They respond to what’s needed, when it’s needed. From the ground, from experience, and from care. Providing support here and now, in the most direct way possible.
How to create a clothing package
Create a complete package per size for boys, girls, or mothers.
Only bring items that are:
- Clean and freshly washed
- In good condition (no stains, no holes)
- Nice enough that you’d give to someone you know
Tie the package together and add a note with the size + BOY or GIRL.
*Baby sizes (50–80): wrap in a muslin cloth

Girls
- 2x new underwear (sizes 50–86: 2x bodysuits)
- 1x pants or dress + legging
- 1x jogger/legging
- 2x t-shirts
- 2x sweater/cardigan
- 2x socks
Boys
